What is High Impact Interval Training (HIIT)?

HIIT is a training technique that involves alternating between intense bursts of exercise and brief periods of rest or low-intensity recovery. This style of training can be applied to various forms of cardiovascular exercise, such as running, cycling, rowing, and bodyweight exercises.

At CFFC, our classes will begin with a warm-up and then a 30-45 minute workout using a mixture of cardio machines, bodyweight exercises, dumbbells and kettlebells. We’ll end the class with an accessory cool down. Workouts will be different every time and will be scaleable to any fitness level.

HIIT classes at CFFC will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

The Benefits of HIIT

Time Efficiency

HIIT workouts are shorter in duration compared to traditional steady-state cardio workouts, making them ideal for individuals with busy schedules.

Increased Calorie Burn

The high-intensity intervals elevate your heart rate and metabolism, leading to greater calories expenditure both during and after the workout.

Improved Cardiovascular Health

HIIT has been shown to improve cardiovascular function, including heart health and endurance.

Muscle Retention

Unlike steady-state cardio, HIIT workouts can help preserve lean muscle mass while promoting fat loss.
